Managed a bonus visit to Utch this a'noon after cadgin' a lift with former World Pipe Smokin' Champion George Bowker and his canine companion Tufty! Cheers pa.
It was cold and sunny when i got there with a bitter north wind blowin' off the Weaver Hills. Highlights were a single Little Egret and a record count of 58 Cormorants.
A blizzard at around half three finally put paid to any chance of a crack at the Goosander roost so i headed off to catch the bus in nearby Spath.
